Workers Inferno is a book about the 1998 explosion at the Esso Operation in Longford, Victoria. The initial explosion killed 2 workers and injured several others, then setting off a series of smaller explosions and fires which took over two days to extinguish.
This is the untold story of the lives of the workers and their families whose lives were changed forever as a result of the accident and subsequent efforts by the company to blame its workers for the accident during the Royal Commission into the explosion.
